Health and Safety

Safeguarding and enhancing worker health and safety are absolute priorities at ALFA ACCIAI.

In accordance with the innovations introduced by Legislative Decree no. 81/08, ALFA ACCIAI has created its own permanent management system for identifying, assessing, reducing, eliminating and monitoring company risk factors.

ALFA ACCIAI’s worker health and safety policy aims at continuous improvement and has led to the adoption of an organisational model for safety in the workplace (Legislative Decree no. 231).

The Prevention and Protection Service promotes a safety culture via a suitable organisational structure and a complex system of technical and procedural measures.

Investments in human and technological resources has led to major achievements in the past few years, in terms of a sharp drop in accidents and injuries, as shown by the frequency and severity rates.

A fundamental requirement of the entire safety system is the need for a correct and thorough risk assessment that evolves at the same rate as the company grows and develops.

The huge amount of facts and figures on health and safety management available today is processed by the Prevention and Protection Service using dedicated software that is updated regularly on the basis of the risks and the requirements of Italian and European regulations.

Great importance is also placed on the management of all possible emergency situations.

ALFA ACCIAI implements the first aid and health emergency procedures envisaged in art. 45 of Legislative Decree no. 81/08.

As the result of its risk assessment, ALFA ACCIAI has adopted the prevention and protection measures required for handling emergencies envisaged in art. 46 of Legislative Decree no. 81/08.

The company also dedicates a significant amount of financial and human resources to radiation protection management.

ALFA ACCIAI recognises the importance of capitalizing on corporate skills and internal communication, and defining the responsibilities and objectives of the various roles, but it is also aware of the importance of providing career opportunities supported by valid training schemes.

The company has therefore launched a major company-wide training scheme that covers all information, educational and training activities.
