ALFA ACCIAI began steel production in Brescia in the mid-1950s, producing approximately 10,000 tons a year, and a rolling mill of about the same capacity. This was the beginning of the company history marked by continuous and constant growth. Now, 50 years later, the annual production capacity is more than 2,000,000 tons of both semi-finished and rolled products, confirming ALFA ACCIAI as a leader in the production of steels for reinforced concrete and confirming ALFA ACCIAI as a reliable supplier of low and medium carbon quality steels: wire rod for drawing and welding wire in particular.

In the last decade our commitment has been towards the creation of original innovations in the production process to give our products particular mechanical properties, such as High Ductility, a characteristic that ALFA ACCIAI “was the first to consider necessary if not indispensable for steels used in seismic areas.
