Alfa Sinstone is a granulate in an aggregate form for non-alloy materials used in civil engineering works and road construction.
The production process involves specific activities to allow the controlled solidification and subsequent granulation of slag from scrap melting in the electric arc furnace.
Slag processed in this way is no longer considered as waste resulting from the steel manufacturing process, rather it is an environmentally compatible by-product that can replace natural quarried material, an excellent example of application of the fundamental principle of environmental culture.
The production and control process meets the requirements of harmonized European standards, and its application allows the use of the CE mark in accordance with Directive 89/106/EEC.
