Alfa Acciai Group released its consolidated financial statements

Taking advantage of the market situation, the Group confirmed its position as one of the leading players in the industry. 

The positive trend continued in the first quarter of the current year, although the industry has lately witnessed a slowdown in the demand for steel products. As highlighted by the CEO Amato Stabiumi: “It is now a question of understanding what will happen in the coming autumn and winter depending on the amount of energy and gas available, which could seriously jeopardise production”.

The Shareholders' Meeting, convened under the chairmanship of Ettore Lonati, approved the new management structure of Alfa Acciai. After 13 years of fruitful cooperation, which began at the height of the industry crisis in 2008/09 and ended in the current positive cycle, Mr Giuseppe Cavalli, in agreement with the company, decided to leave the Group to pursue different paths in his future.

At the same time as presenting its Annual Report, the Alfa Acciai Group drew up its second Sustainability Report. The document describes the environmental, social, and economic sustainability performance for the financial year 2021. Among the main highlights identified by the Report is the concrete commitment to continue investing in energy transition.
