Italian Steel Industry Training: Alfa Academy

Alfa Academy is a project focused on training young people and enabling them to acquire the professional skills necessary for a successful entry into the world of work.

It is the result of a collaboration between ITS Academy Machina Lonati and Alfa Acciai and is aimed at training individuals capable of dealing with the installation and maintenance of steel production and processing equipment.

The apprenticeship course lasts one year, with alternating periods of internal training at Alfa Acciai and external training at ITS Academy Machina Lonati, including practical lessons at external laboratories, and a period of work in the company. Participants are offered a first-level apprenticeship contract.

The project involves a team of students aged between 18 and 25, resident or domiciled in Lombardy, with a diploma or qualification from a vocational school. At the end of the course, the boys and girls involved have the opportunity to continue their career within Alfa Acciai.

All this is aimed at providing young people with the opportunity to strengthen their theoretical knowledge and apply it directly within the Alfa Accciai's processes. By the end of the program, they will have acquired technical skills in maintenance and plant installation, updated with the latest innovations and digital technologies - skills that are essential for taking on increasingly strategic roles within the company.
